Community involvement

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The North Kellyville Public School (NKPS) P&C is a group of dedicated parent and carer volunteers working in partnership with the school to support our students, staff, and families. We help provide resources, run events, and strengthen the sense of community that makes NKPS such a great place to learn.
Why Join the P&C?
Being part of the P&C is about more than fundraising. It’s about connection, having a voice, and making a positive impact:
- Have Your Say: Joining the P&C gives parents and carers the chance to contribute ideas and provide feedback on school initiatives, policies, and priorities.
- Strengthen Our Community: By working together, we create a more connected school community where families feel welcomed and supported.
- Support Student Opportunities: Funds raised by the P&C directly benefit students, providing additional programs, learning resources, and improvements to school facilities.
- See Your Children in Action: Being involved gives parents the chance to experience school life from a new perspective, whether it’s seeing your child at an event, watching them participate in activities, or getting glimpses of their school day that you wouldn’t normally see.
- Set an Example: Children notice when their parents are engaged at school. Your involvement shows the value of community service and teamwork.
- Flexible Commitment: You can contribute in ways that suit your availability, from attending meetings to helping at events, or simply supporting from the sidelines. Every contribution counts.

- Offering input and feedback on school priorities when invited
Meetings and How to Get Involved
The P&C meets Wednesday evenings in Week 3 and Week 8 of each term at 7:30 PM in the school library.
Meetings are open to everyone, you don’t need to hold a position to attend, and you don’t have to speak if you prefer just to listen. Becoming a financial member (a small annual fee of $2) gives you voting rights and allows you to help shape decisions.
We encourage all parents and carers to come along, meet other families, and discover how you can contribute. Whether it’s an hour at an event, an idea for fundraising, or taking on a committee role, your involvement makes a real difference to the school community.
