The North Kellyville Public School Parents and Citizens Association was founded in 2019, the same year the school officially opened. The NKPS P&C is made up of financial members, some of whom hold roles in the Executive Committee as elected at the Annual General Meeting; all of the members are unpaid volunteers who all want to help make NKPS the best school in the known universe. The P&C supports the school to achieve some of their goals and objectives, by hosting events to raise funds and engage with the school community.
The P&C is more than just raising money. The P&C also runs several initiatives that benefit the students and their families, including our online Second Hand Uniform Shop run by P&C members who have generously donated their time.
In short, the P&C has two main functions:
· to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation; and
· to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.
Each year, during Term 1, a formal process is undertaken to form a North Kellyville Public School P&C. In the first instance, parents will be asked to become financial members of the P&C. Some parents may then wish to nominate for office bearer positions of:
· President
· Secretary
· Treasurer
· Vice President
· Executive Committee Members
